You may not realize it, but your eyebrows are vitally important to communication and help you express emotions. If you have drooping brows and loose skin on your forehead, this laxity may give you a tired or even angry appearance. You can correct this permanent frown with a brow lift, rejuvenating the upper part of your face for a tighter, more youthful appearance.

What is a Brow Lift?

A brow lift, also referred to as a forehead lift, restores the upper part of your face and reverses signs of aging, such as skin laxity, wrinkles, and sagging. This procedure is recommended for individuals who want to address these signs of aging and restore their lifted, natural-looking brow arches. A brow lift can be performed alone or combined with other procedures for full facial rejuvenation.

How Much is a Brow Lift?

The cost of any plastic surgery procedure varies widely depending on many factors. When considering a brow lift, cost should only be one of many considerations that play a role in choosing your surgeon. Factors that affect your procedure cost include:

  • Your surgeon’s skill and experience
  • The quality of the facility and surgical team
  • The type of anesthesia used
  • The details of your procedure
  • Additional fees and expenses, such as lab tests or medications

Sources report that the average brow lift cost ranges from $3,400 to $3,900. However, costs can be much lower or higher depending on how the procedure is performed and other factors. We recommend a consultation so Dr. Stein can examine your features and determine the details of your treatment plan. As a board-certified facial plastic surgeon, he is a specialist in facial procedures and provides superior results.

How is a Brow Lift Performed?

Dr. Stein usually performs an endoscopic brow lift, using a tiny camera that allows him to lift and tighten your skin and underlying structures with a few small incisions. The procedure may be extended to the mid-face area to lift the cheeks and skin under the eyes. As a result, the upper half of your face looks completely rejuvenated. A brow lift is often combined with another procedure, such as a facelift, for the most comprehensive anti-aging results.

What is Recovery Like After a Brow Lift?

Most people experience swelling, bruising, and soreness after their brow lifts. Dr. Stein will prescribe medication as needed. Resting with your head elevated and using cold compresses will reduce swelling and make you more comfortable. Most people feel much better after the first few days and can return to work within ten days. Your brows may look higher than you expected for a few weeks until they settle into their correct position. Dr. Stein will usually clear you to return to more strenuous activities after about three weeks.
