A brow lift can erase years off of your facial appearance by reducing lines and wrinkles on the upper portion of the face. The procedure can also address visible signs of aging such as sagging eyebrows. When done by a skilled surgeon, downtime from a brow lift can be minimal allowing you to quickly get back to your normal routine.

At Stein Plastic Surgery, brow lifts are performed with a minimally-invasive technique using endoscopic methods. There’s no need for large incisions making for a faster healing time with less swelling. While every patient and surgery is unique, there is a typical timeline that patients can expect when it comes to brow lift recovery. Let’s take a look.

K.
Dr. Stein performed upper and lower eyelid surgery, as well as a brow lift. I am very happy with the results, and have seen a great improvement in the bags under my eyes and the dropping of my brow and eyelids. Dr. Stein provided realistic advice about the immediate recovery process, so there were no surprises. All in all, I would highly recommend Dr. Stein.

Brow Lift Recovery: The First Several Days

A forehead lift is done as an outpatient procedure meaning you’ll be able to go home the same day. Discomfort will be at its worst the first several days post-op, however, brow lifts tend to be less painful than other surgeries. Ice and cold packs can help minimize swelling in the first 48-hours.

Brow Lift Recovery: Week One

After about a week, you’ll start to feel better incorporating some of your normal activities into your daily routine. During this time, you’ll be advised to sleep with your head in an elevated position. Sutures are removed about 7-days following your procedure. Most patients return to work within just 7-10 days after an endoscopic brow lift.

Brow Lift Recovery: Week Three

The majority of swelling will have dissipated around week three. More strenuous activities like exercise can be done with care. Listen to your body and be sure not to push yourself too hard or too fast otherwise you may risk a prolonged healing time. A forehead lift can produce long-lasting results with relatively little downtime.
