An overly large or disproportionate nose can throw off the entire balance of your facial appearance. Reducing the size, even a little, can positively affect the overall contours of your face from every angle. Rhinoplasty surgery is typically a once-in-a-lifetime procedure and can be done at nearly any age to effectively resize and reshape the nose.

If you’re ready to reduce the size of your nose and improve your self-image, you might be a good fit for rhinoplasty surgery. Stein Plastic Surgery has helped hundreds of men and women of all ages safely achieve their desired facial contours.

How Is Rhinoplasty Performed?

Prior to surgery, Dr. Stein will discuss with you what you find aesthetically pleasing and show you a variety of before and after photos. Rhinoplasties (commonly referred to as a nose job) are done under deep IV sedation and take just over an hour to complete. Dr. Stein is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon who meticulously works to sculpt your new nose according to your specifications. Results can be as subtle or as dramatic as you’d like.

When Will I See Results from My Nose Reduction?

Many patients are happy with their nose reduction immediately after surgery. However, you can expect some post-surgical swelling to mask the final outcome of your procedure. It can take upwards of 6-12 months for your nose to fully settle into its new position. Once you’ve brought balance to your face through rhinoplasty surgery with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon, you likely won’t need another surgery throughout your lifetime.

When Can I Return Back to Work/School?

Downtime is surprisingly minimal with rhinoplasty surgeries. Most men and women can get back to their normal routine in a week. You may want to plan your rhinoplasty surgery around social situations, giving yourself at least 2 weeks for the majority of swelling to subside. While there may be some residual swelling for 6 to 12 months, it’s typically only noticeable to you.
