If you’re sick and tired of seeing those heavy eyebrows and furrows that make you look tired and sad, a brow lift might be just the thing you’re looking for. A brow lift is a procedure used to treat all sorts of issues on the upper face related mainly to aging.

With a brow lift, you can expect to achieve lifting saggy brows, raising the upper eyelids, reducing frown lines between the eyebrows, and improving deep creases in the forehead. This all sounds fantastic, but – if a brow lift involves cutting, won’t it leave scars?

Where Are Incisions Made During A Brow Lift?

In the past, it was necessary to make large incisions in the eyebrows but not anymore. With Dr. Stein’s advanced surgical techniques, you can expect minimal scarring that’s barely visible. Dr. Stein focuses on making tiny incisions within the hairline, which provides less swelling and faster healing.

What Are The Potential Risks Of A Brow Lift?

Like any surgical procedure, a brow lift comes with potential risks that you should be aware of before deciding to get one. Some of the risks include scarring, changes in how the skin feels, asymmetry, or hair loss. As a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Stein is able to effectively minimize these risks. Let’s look a little more into one risk which worries many people – scarring.

Scarring After A Brow Lift

After a brow lift, it’s normal to have a little bit of scarring. This should fade over the course of several months to a year. To speed up the healing process, there are some things you can do. Rest after your procedure and take pain medication if necessary, use ice packs or cold compresses to help with swelling, and avoid exposing your scars and incisions to excessive sun, pressure, or motion.

While your scar is healing, there are a couple of simple things you can do to reduce the visibility of the scar. You can wear make-up as well as use your hair to cover the scar. You should also remember that it’s usually only to the patient that the scar seems very visible, most other people won’t even notice.

Midlife Crisis over thanks to Dr. Stein. I’m approaching 46 years old and recently had a brow lift. Not only does a brow lift reduce forehead wrinkles, it also lifts your eyes and cheeks just enough to result in a more refreshed, well rested look. I looked at many before and after photos from multiple surgeons and I think anyone would agree that Dr. Stein’s results are more natural than any you’ll find. If Hollywood starlets visited Dr. Stein In Raleigh, they’d look like a younger version of themselves, instead of the freaks of nature/clownish look we so often see. I’m often told I look younger than my age, yet nobody can tell I had anything done. The staff at Dr. Stein’s office are very kind and the bedside manner of my nurse during surgery was excellent. I felt I was in great hands throughout the entire process and the follow up care is excellent.
