Breast Lifts Mastopexy
A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a plastic surgery procedure designed to improve the look of the breasts by tightening the breast skin. The breast lift procedure does not increase the cup size but rather restores a more youthful-looking figure. There are a number of factors which can cause the skin to stretch and the breasts to droop or sag, including your age, your cup size, pregnancy, weight loss or gain, and simple gravity. Breast lift surgery can virtually turn back the clock.
During the breast lift procedure, incisions are made and excess skin is removed. Depending upon the placement of the nipple after the breast lift, it may need to be repositioned. Breast augmentation, or the insertion of implants, may be performed at the same time as a breast lift for results that are usually longer lasting. Recovery time after a breast lift typically takes seven to ten days and the sutures are removed within two to three weeks.
